A call was placed to Mercer County Dispatch Tuesday, December 27 at 5:17 pm regarding an abandoned vehicle in the 6200 block of Wabash Road, Fort Recovery. Brian Hayslip, 22, of the Springfield area, and listed as a missing person from Clark County, was located in an open field nearby. An infant was found inside the truck by the callers and was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene by Celina Fire Department personnel responding to the scene. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
