The maintenance barn at Hickory Sticks Golf Club just south of the City of Van Wert burned Wednesday afternoon. According to an employee on scene the fire started while that day's maintenance worker was out buying a filter for some equipment. Stored in the building were all the grounds and maintenance equipment including seven mowers, greens rollers and a loader tractor.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
