Berniece Buehler
Berniece A. Buehler, 76, Coldwater, died Nov. 27, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Jay County, Ind. to John and Hilda Droesch Alig. On Jan. 14, 1956, she married Elmo Buehler, who died Sept. 22, 1989.
Surviving are four children, Doug (Deb) Buehler, St. Henry, Deb (Oakland) Roberts Jr., Union City, Ind., Darlene Homan, Coldwater, and Deanna (Mike) Reynolds, Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Don (Vera) Alig, Portland, Ind., and Dick (Jenny) Alig, Coldwater; two sisters, Dorothy Hein, Montezuma, and Rosie Heitkamp, Coldwater; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Alig and Marceil Alig, both of Portland, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are a son, David Buehler; four brothers, Jerome Alig, John Alig, Ralph Alig and Joe Alig; a sister, Viola Alig; and two brothers-in-law, Greg Hein and Ed Heitkamp.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. She had been a cook at Coldwater Schools and the former Betties Restaurant, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Marc Soellner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
