Bernard "Bud" Litherland, 71, Celina, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Dec. 28, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.

He was born Aug. 6, 1943, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Gerald and Eleanor Bullock Litherland. On June 12, 1982, he married Mary Hutchinson, who survives in Celina.

Also surviving are four children, Michelle (Chris) Lowe, Waynesville, Michael Litherland, Atlanta, Ga., Lisa (Lenny) Greco, Cape Coral, Fla., and Lee Litherland, New York, N.Y.; a stepson, Sean (Lisa) Stewart, Coldwater, eight grandchildren, Zachary Frazier, Arika Steinke, Morgan Lowe, Madison Lowe, Leo Greco, Noah Greco, Seth Stewart and Sarah Stewart; a great-granddaughter, Alayna Frazier; a brother, Jay (Helen) Litherland, Sarasota, Fla.; and a sister, Martha Litherland, Traverse City, Mich.

Deceased is a stepdaughter, Christina Stewart.

He graduated from Coldwater High School and was a self-employed truck driver. He was a social member of American Legion Post 210 and a member of the Celina Moose Lodge.

NASCAR, along with the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes, brought a lot of joy to his life.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Eric Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
