Dennis Leon Byrley, 82, of Zillah Street, Celina, died at 12:15 a.m. Feb. 13, 2008, at his home.

He was born March 25, 1925, in Celina, to David and Esther Clara Eury Byrley. On Aug. 31, 1952, he married Ella Mae Zeller, who died Dec. 23, 1993.

Surviving are two daughters, Dixie Cobourn and Connie Lucas, both of Celina; two brothers, Ray and Lawrence (Eileen), all of Celina; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, David; four infant sisters; a half brother, Cliff; a half sister, Molly Steineman; and a sister-in-law, Dee.

He retired after 40 years as a boiler operator at Mersman Furniture Co., Celina, and was a bus driver for 22 year at Celina City Schools. He was a member of the First Church of God and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Celina, and the Hopewell Grange.
