Gertrude Pax
Celina native Gertrude "Trudy" Alma Pax, 70, of Camphill Village Minnesota, Sauk Centre, Minn., died Feb. 9, 2008, at her home.
She was born March 9, 1937, in Celina, to Leo and Gertrude Jenniges Pax. In 1974, she married her former husband, Thomas Farr, who survives in California.
Other survivors are two sons, Daniel, of New York, and Nicolas, of Taiwan; two brothers, Robert, St. Henry, and Ralph, Mason, Mich.; and a sister, Lucille Bub, San Diego, Calif.
Deceased are three brothers, the Revs. Joseph and Maurus, and Roman; and a sister, Esther Winhoven.
She worked for a service organization in Brazil and in the steel mills of Chicago. She earned a master's degree in English as a second language and taught adult education classes.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Camphill.
