Vonnie Sutton

Vonnie V. Sutton, 73, 1118 Nagel St., St. Marys, died at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 13, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.

She was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Mousie, Ky., to Rufus and Betty Thornsberry Tuttle. On May 4, 1952, she married Harold Sutton, who died April 25, 1989.

Surviving are three sons, Harold (Cindy), Ridgeville, Ind., William (Marcia), Seattle, Wash., and Steve, St. Marys; two daughters, Marjorie (James) Sparks, Prestonburg, Ky., and Biana (Mike) Moorman, Louisville, Ky.; a son-in-law, Scott Sanford, Sterling Heights, Mich.; five brothers, Doyle Tuttle, Baytown, Texas, Jethro and Glenn Tuttle, both of St. Marys, and Cletus and Bobby Tuttle, both of Moreno Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Shelba Roller, St. Marys, and Barbara Rhodes, Celina; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, Gloria Sanford; and a sister, Vere Slone.

She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and was a member of Samaria Missionary Baptist Church, St. Marys.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Jack Burns officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Calling is 1-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
