* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Geraldine Nussbaum

Geraldine M. Nussbaum, 89, formerly of 962 E. Spring St., St. Marys, died at 2:55 a.m. Feb. 13, 2008, at Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.

She was born May 20, 1918, in Mendon, to Clinton and Dora Wilson Gilliland. Her former husbands, Dale Boroff and Ralph Nussbaum, are deceased.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth (June) Boroff, Mount Vernon; a daughter, Gloria Harner, Mendon; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, Linda Lou Sutter; two sons-in-law, Richard Sutter and Joseph Harner; three brothers, Theodore, John and Charles Gilliland; two sisters, Nora Agler and Viola Wurster; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

She worked as a nursing assistant at Valley Nursing Homeand Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, and Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford, and operated the former General Store in Neptune with her family. She attended St. Marys Church of God.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed McCoy officiating. Burial is at Calvary Evangelical Cemetery near Mendon.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
